Some pieces make a kitchen feel settled the moment they arrive. These salt and pepper mills have been made in the same family workshop in Northern Greece since 1977, a solid brass casing with real weight behind it, the smooth turn of the crank telling you everything about who made them.

The olive wood board beneath them is carved by hand from a single piece, honey-toned grain running the full length. It gives the mills somewhere to belong, serves a wedge of cheese or bread still warm, and handles the garlic and onion chopping when dinner gets going.

Everything here improves with use. The brass takes on a patina that deepens with every meal, the olive wood grows richer every year. Made for daily use, and for the decades after, handed on with the memories still attached.
