The Riser Duo

Story:

A riser has one simple job, lifting what you love to where it can be seen. This pair does it twice over, carved from mango wood at eight and ten inches across, no two cut with the same grain.

The larger holds the middle of the table, a candle and the mills raised into a centerpiece, while the smaller stays by the stove, keeping the salt cellar and oil cruet together. Steady under whatever they carry, with edges rounded and smooth.

Mango wood deepens in tone as the years pass, so the pair only settles further into the home. Risers wander, and these are made for it, ending up somewhere new every season and never once in a cupboard.
