Fluted Pedestal Bowl - Rustic Grey

Story:

A weathered grey finish makes a new piece feel like it has already lived a little. This pedestal bowl wears it over mango wood, the flutes carved by hand, each cut in turn around the full curve, so the rim ripples wherever the light lands.

Stood on its base, everything it carries sits a little higher. A salad brought out in it looks like the reason everyone sat down, and lemons or stone fruit gathered through the week give the counter one spot that is always in season.

Between meals it needs nothing in it at all, holding an open shelf or a sideboard on its own. Most pieces take years to look settled in a home. This one arrives that way, and only grows more familiar, the bowl that gets kept, and kept out, for good.
